Dr. Almontashiri is an Associate Professor of Medical Genetics at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Taibah University, Saudi Arabia.
In 2015, he received his Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Genetics from the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Canada.
In 2018, he completed his 3-year dual training in Clinical Molecular and Biochemical Genetics at Harvard Medical School.
He is the only Saudi Ph.D. who is dual board-certified in Clinical Molecular and Biochemical Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG).
Dr. Almontashiri has years of experience in molecular and biochemical assay development and interpretation for diagnostic applications.
He signed out more than 20,000 genetic tests (Gene panels, WES, WGS) for Saudi and non-Saudi patients with genetic diseases.
