Prof. Mohammed Suliman Almogbel (BSc, MSc, PhD)

Mohammed Almogbel is a Professor in Medical and Molecular Microbiology at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Ha’il University.
He has over 32 years of practical experience, divided into two stages, starting in 1993.

During the clinical period before obtaining his doctorate (1993–2006), he worked at the Prince Sultan Military Medical City in the Microbiology Department.
He obtained a certificate in pathology from the British Council and progressed professionally from Specialist to Senior Specialist, eventually becoming responsible for the General Bacteriology Laboratory in 1997.
From 1999–2006, he served as the Director of the Microbiology Department.

After obtaining his doctorate, he was appointed to the Medical Laboratories Department at the Health College in Ha’il in 2006.
In the same year, he became the Head of the Department and later served as:

  • Vice Dean of the College
  • Dean of the College
  • Founder Dean of the Nursing College
  • Founder Dean of the College of Public Health
  • Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences

Additionally, he was appointed as the Head of the Molecular Diagnostic and Personalized Therapeutics Center at Ha’il University, and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Ha’il Health Sciences Journal.

Throughout his clinical and academic career, Mohammed Almogbel participated in various committees and councils, including:

  • Infection Control Committee Member in Armed Forces Medical Services
  • Committee for the Localization of Health Jobs in Ha’il Region
  • Supreme Committee for Health Training
  • Committee for the Study of Academic Qualifications in Medical Laboratories for Professional Classification in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
  • Policies and Procedures Committee in Laboratory Services and Blood Banks, Ministry of Health
